Is the electronic signature legal under the RTA?
Yes. The Ontario Residential Tenancies Act and the Electronic Commerce Act recognize electronic signatures as legally binding for leases and most LTB notices.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. We are a software platform that ensures your administrative paperwork follows mandated LTB templates. For complex litigation, consult a licensed paralegal or lawyer.
Is the Ontario Standard Lease always mandatory?
For most private residential tenancies started after April 30, 2018, it is mandatory. Our tool uses the current Ministry of Housing version.
How secure is my data?
We use AES-256 encryption and SSL. Data is hosted on secure Canadian-based servers for PIPEDA compliance.
